Rx2GO: On-Demand Prescription Delivery
A full-stack iOS and Android app connecting patients with pharmacy couriers for same-day prescription delivery. Built from concept through App Store launch with real-time tracking, pharmacy partner integrations, and a HIPAA-aligned data architecture.

The Challenge
Rx2GO approached us with a clear problem: getting prescriptions from pharmacy to patient is a last-mile logistics challenge that nobody had solved well in the Canadian market. Existing courier apps weren't built for the regulatory and privacy requirements of healthcare. They needed a purpose-built platform from the ground up.
The core technical challenge was building a system that could handle real-time GPS tracking, bidirectional communication between pharmacies and couriers, and patient-facing delivery status updates - all while ensuring that protected health information was handled to HIPAA standards.
What We Built
We delivered a three-sided marketplace: a patient-facing app, a courier app, and a pharmacy dashboard - all sharing a single backend API.
- React Native apps for iOS and Android sharing a single codebase, with platform-specific UI polish where it mattered
- Real-time GPS tracking using WebSockets, with smooth location interpolation on the map view
- Pharmacy partner API integrations for prescription status synchronisation and order handoff
- Courier matching algorithm that routes deliveries based on proximity, load, and availability
- Push notification system for order status updates across all three user types
- HIPAA-aligned data architecture with end-to-end encryption for prescription information
The Outcome
The app launched on both the App Store and Google Play within 20 weeks of project kickoff. Rx2GO went live in their initial service area with pharmacy partners onboarded and a courier network operational on day one.
Post-launch, the system maintained 99.9% API uptime through a period of rapid user growth. The architecture we designed scaled without re-engineering as the service area expanded.
